Sharps Collection

SITA-MediCollect specialises in sharps collection and disposal for hospitals, doctor and dental surgeries, veterinary practices, aged care, and other facilities.

Containers to suit your needs

SITA-MediCollect supplies a large range of sharp collector containersin a variety of sizes and designs to suit your facility’s waste needs. The containers supplied are designed for safer handling, both for the staff in your workplace and for our staff during transportation and treatment.

All sharps collectors are colour coded yellow for clinical waste, (or purple for cytotoxic syringes)  and clearly display the biohazard symbol.

Sharp-Paks

SITA-MediCollect also provide ‘Sharp-Paks’ specifically designed to ensure the safe collection of carelessly discarded needles in public places. Sharp-Paks are suited to council and other public industry workers that may come into contact with needles.

Treatment

Treatment and disposal methods for all sharps are in accordance with State, and Territory legislative requirements.
