SITA-MediCollect has a history of working with industry to protect our environment and divert ‘waste’ from landfill. We actively seek to recover valuable resources from as many products as possible so that they may be recycled and components used as secondary materials.

What is resource recovery?
Resource recovery is the recovery of valuable and re-usable resources from the general waste stream. By extracting materials such as plastic, paper, glass and metals from solid waste, they may be reprocessed to create secondary material to produce new products.
Resource recovery has two positive environmental benefits; it not only reduces waste being sent to landfill, but also reduces the need for raw materials that must be mined or captured from the Earth for use in the manufacture of new products.
